With another school year ending, the campus seems to be bustling with students preparing for their final exams. Similarly at CalPlug, students have been busy preparing presentations and demonstrations of the projects and technology they’ve been working hard on to develop. A recent demonstration at CalPlug for a visiting advisory board showcased CalPlug’s latest developments in the Wall of Power, 5w5s 1kwh Challenge and others. The advisory board attendees included co chairs Anne Petersen and Drew Senyei, Mark Anderson from Strategic News Service, Vinton Cerf from Google, Duane Roth from Connect, Stanton Rowe from Edwards Lifesciences, Phil Smith from the National Research Council, Telle Whitney from Anita Borg Institute and Greg Brandeau from Walt Disney Studios. The demonstration was well received by the advisory board, and CalPlug’s projects were the topic of many interesting discussions and questions.
