The Simulation, Integration, and Management Home, or SIM-Home for short, is a project designed to be an advanced metering and observation environment in which one can see user behavioral patterns while monitoring energy consumption monitoring. This was used to develop two applications for users to track this information.

The One Kilowatt-hour Challenge was a community outreach program that was designed as an Educational Program where community members within UCI could learn exactly how much energy a Kilowatt-hour is.

CalPlug provides testing service for manufacturers and utilities to obtain power consumption and savings report before their pilot programs for specific prototypes. CalPlug hosts four individual demonstration labs that are set up as individual SIM labs (Simulation Integration Majority), such as the SIM living room and the SIM office.that are set up as individual SIM labs (Simulation Integration Majority), such as the SIM living room and the SIM office.
